BooksMeet ("BooksMeet", "we", "us", or "our") provides online scheduling, appointment booking, calendar integration, meeting scheduling, booking links, embedded scheduling experiences, and related services through https://booksmeet.com and associated BooksMeet pages and features.

This Privacy Policy explains what information BooksMeet collects, how we use it, how we store and protect it, when it may be shared, and how you can request access to or deletion of your information.

If you connect a third-party service such as Google Calendar, this Privacy Policy also explains how BooksMeet handles information received from that service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

Depending on how you use BooksMeet, we may collect:

• name and email address;
• account and login information;
• organization or workspace information;
• event types, meeting titles, descriptions, durations, availability, and scheduling preferences;
• booking information, including information entered by a person booking a meeting;
• branding information such as logos, colors, and organization settings;
• communications or support requests that you send to us; and
• other information you voluntarily provide while using BooksMeet.

2.2 Information collected automatically

We may receive technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, pages or features accessed, approximate usage information, and security or diagnostic information. We use this information for service operation, security, troubleshooting, and improvement.

3. Google Account and Google Calendar Data

3.1 Google data we may access

Depending on the permissions you authorize, BooksMeet may access:

• your Google account identifier;
• your Google account email address;
• basic Google profile information returned through the authorized Google account connection;
• calendar availability and free/busy information;
• calendar information needed to identify scheduling conflicts; and
• calendar event information needed to create or manage meeting events that you request through BooksMeet.

3.2 Google permissions requested by BooksMeet

BooksMeet currently requests the following Google OAuth permissions for its Google Calendar integration:

• openid
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonly
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.freebusy

These permissions allow BooksMeet to identify the connected Google account, check calendar availability and conflicts, and create or manage calendar events associated with meetings scheduled through BooksMeet.

4. How We Use Google User Data

BooksMeet uses Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing scheduling and calendar features that you request. This includes:

• connecting your Google account to your BooksMeet account;
• checking calendar availability and free/busy information;
• identifying calendar conflicts so that unavailable times are not offered for booking;
• creating calendar events for meetings booked through BooksMeet;
• updating or managing meeting events when the BooksMeet feature you use requires it;
• supporting meeting and scheduling workflows you initiate; and
• maintaining, securing, troubleshooting, and improving the BooksMeet features that use the authorized Google integration.

BooksMeet does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for targeted advertising, use Google user data for advertising profiles, or use Google user data for data brokerage or information-resale purposes.

BooksMeet does not use data obtained through Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

We do not use Google user data for creditworthiness, lending, or similar unrelated purposes.

5. Google User Data Sharing and Disclosure

BooksMeet does not sell or rent Google user data. We do not disclose Google user data to third parties for advertising, data brokerage, or unrelated commercial purposes.

BooksMeet may disclose or transfer Google user data only when necessary to provide the BooksMeet functionality you request, protect the security and integrity of the service, comply with applicable law, or protect the rights, safety, or property of BooksMeet, our users, or others.

Service providers that support BooksMeet operations, such as hosting, database, security, communications, or infrastructure providers, may process information on our behalf only as necessary to provide those services. We require appropriate confidentiality and security protections for information handled on our behalf.

BooksMeet does not transfer Google user data to third parties for their own independent advertising, marketing, data brokerage, or unrelated use.

6. Google User Data Storage and Security

BooksMeet stores information required to maintain your account and provide authorized scheduling functionality. Google OAuth credentials and related account information are stored on the BooksMeet service and are protected using reasonable technical and organizational security measures appropriate to the nature of the information.

Where applicable, sensitive information is protected through access controls, secure server configuration, encrypted HTTPS connections, restricted database access, and other security measures designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to maintain reasonable safeguards appropriate for the service.

7. Retention of Google Data

BooksMeet retains Google account connection information and OAuth credentials for as long as the Google Calendar connection remains active and the information is necessary to provide the requested scheduling features.

Calendar-related information used for a booking may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the booking, scheduling history, support, security, accounting, or other legitimate service functions, subject to applicable law and the user's deletion requests.

When information is no longer needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, we will delete it, anonymize it, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our applicable retention practices, unless retention is required or permitted by law.

8. Disconnecting Google Calendar

You can disconnect Google Calendar from BooksMeet using the Google Calendar connection controls available in your BooksMeet account.

You can also revoke BooksMeet's access from your Google Account's third-party connections. Revoking access prevents BooksMeet from continuing to access Google data through that authorization.

Disconnecting Google Calendar does not necessarily delete information that was already created or retained in your BooksMeet account, such as booking records. You may request deletion as described below.

9. Access, Correction, and Deletion

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with your BooksMeet account, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.

If you want BooksMeet to delete information obtained through your Google Calendar connection, contact us using the email addresses below and identify the BooksMeet account associated with the request. We may need to verify the request before processing it.

When you request deletion, BooksMeet will delete or de-identify information that we are required or able to delete, except where we must retain specific information to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, or maintain necessary business records.

We use information you provide to operate BooksMeet, create and manage your account, provide scheduling and booking functionality, send service-related communications, provide support, maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the service.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising unless our practices and this policy are changed and disclosed in accordance with applicable requirements.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

BooksMeet may use cookies, sessions, and similar technologies that are necessary to authenticate users, maintain sessions, remember settings, provide security, and operate the service.

If we introduce optional analytics or similar technologies, we will use them in accordance with applicable law and update this Privacy Policy as needed.

12. Third-Party Services

BooksMeet may integrate with third-party services, including Google Calendar and meeting or communication services selected or enabled by a user. Information shared with a third-party service is subject to the permissions you authorize and that third party's own policies and terms.

BooksMeet does not control the privacy practices of third-party services. You should review the privacy policies of services you choose to connect.

BooksMeet is intended for business and general scheduling use and is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

14. International Processing

Depending on where you and our service providers are located, information may be processed or stored in countries other than your country of residence. Where required, we take appropriate steps for lawful international transfers and protection of personal information.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, data practices, legal requirements, or security practices change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

If we materially change how we access, use, store, or share Google user data, we will update the relevant disclosures before or when the changed practices take effect, as appropriate.
